Hi All,
Is there a way to create an attribute or MTEXT in a block where part of it is User defined and the other part is constant?
e.g.
"AUTOCAD = 12345 LAYERS"
Where "AUTOCAD =" and "LAYERS" are constant
and
"12345" is the user defined part.
The reason why I would like this is because i want to be able to Middle Centre Justify the text and if i were to create 3 separate texts then it wouldnt be good (2 texts and 1 attdef)
as shown in the attached photo the value "5" from the attdef should come into the other ATTDEF
where "t =" and "s" come in by default. but the way i had to do it was create a field in the value of the attribute which is rubbish coz then a user might not know how to use it and then edit it manually destroying the "intelligence"
There are a lot of routines can do the job.
You can try attached ALTEXT.vlx to add Prefix / Surfix to block attributes as well,
3wood,
I don't really want to bother running a routine for this. We don't really use AutoCAD much anymore and using the field in the attribute then REA it seems to work well enough.
Thanks for the input
