Laptop for 2015 question

Hi,

Based in the UK

We are currently looking to purchase a laptop for one of our draughtsmen so that he can use 2015 on the go.

Is it best to get a laptop that has a dedicated GPU or will one that has the Intel HD 4600 suffice.

Any help or recomendations would be greatly accepted.

Our buget for the laptop is around £700.

Many thanks for your time.

I'd say the the internal Intel iGPU would be ok. A dedicated GPU would be smoother for panning and zooming large complicated drawings, but I'm using AutoCad 2015 on an internal Intel HD P3000, and it seems ok. A bit jumpy at times, but it works nonetheless.

I have a GTX760 too, but unfortunately I can't get it to work with AutoCad 2015 at the moment, Autodesk and Nvidia are trying to sort it out. I hope.
