Just want to make sure I'm not missing something and this particular behavior is by design. Searching does not return results from a sub-folder that is link.
Scenario
Folder A has a link to Folder B. Drawing A.dwg is in Folder A. Drawing B.dwg is in Folder B. Search for *.dwg in Folder A only Drawing A.dwg is found.
You are correct as long as your search is restricted to Folder A and the top level Vault entry is unchecked. In my example only the files in the "DP Unit" will be searched even though the folder "Tool Post" is linked to DP Unit.
