If prioritize these functions related to sloped wall:

- line based sloped wall creation

- curve based sloped wall creation

- sloped wall joining

- modify sloped wall profile

- window and door hosed on sloped wall

- sloped wall opening

- attach sloped wall to Roof/Floor

- sloped wall reveal and sweep

We've completed our review of this idea. After investigating the effort required to implement this request, we unable to add it to our roadmap at this time due to other priorities. However, we think this is a great idea so we will reconsider it as we made adjustments to our roadmap in the future. Thanks for the submission and keep voting!

I'd also like a tool to input a variable wall thickness (a bit similar to floors and roofs with the Modify Shape Tool).

This would come in especially handy when dealing with existing situations, like for renovations.

Also, please make sloped Walls able to Host Rebars. The "wall by face" of today is not able to host rebars. Thats a problem for us structrual engineers.

After having to switch from Revit to ArchiCAD for modeling purposes one of the first things I've had to do using Revit is model a sloped and angled wall. 

I did a bit of Youtube searching and couldn't believe how much of a farce this process is, considering it's just a setting in ArchiCAD which has been there for the last 4 releases roughly, i thought the process would be relatively similar. 

Come on Revit catch up! The amount of time required to create these walls is just ridiculous either through the massing process or via creating Revit families.

Being able to control the slopes of both faces of the wall independently (for CRM retaining walls) - would also be usable as a simple slanted wall.

Without sloping walls (define angle of both faces) and without variable wall thickness, Revit is absolutely unusable for monuments restoration. Its fine to make complex wall using Mass Modelling. But make it behave like a regular wall (hosting openings, rebars and other elements, etc.).

Very recently (10 yrs ago) I´ve used ArchLine. Check it for your inspiration. Its wall-forming abilities were excellent.

I am already have created the sloped wall (slopping from one face) by using in place family , but I have a lot issues as updating the profile (for design modification) , inserting openings as windows and doors which act with a very weird behavior and could not be hosted all the time.

ArchiCAD has had this ability in at least the last 4 iterations of it, so it is possible to add as a function in Revit, and it works brilliantly.

And make it possible to use linear sweeps around corners with them.

Of course geometrical correct to get height points for each top and bottom point we need. This is possible when defining more than one path to sweep along.

Good idea. For each side of the wall a separate parameter. But will this be correctly exported via IFC? These parameters aren't in IFC, don't they?



Or the export has to interpret these parameter and calculate a correct volumetric body.

Almost 2 years later is there any progress with implementing this feature?

Would be nice to finally add this feature in the Revit roadmap.
We definitely understand it's a big deal for the developing team, but it's even bigger deal for Revit common users. Thanks!

Its very cumbersome to create slanted walls. In revit lt its just impossible.

Would be great to see if you could create slanted walls just like slanted columns
