Revit Family Thumbnails
Why is it that in Revit 2018 a family is created and a thumbnail view is saved, and when clicking on the family outside of revit the thumbnail appears correctly, however when loaded into the project the thumbnail is now showing the back of the family? Thoughts? Is this a bug in revit 2018?
Autodesk also needs to fix the thumbnail being backwards in the Revit properties. In file explorer the thumbnail is correct, but the properties is showing backwards.
Just ran into this myself while creating new content for my company.
From what I can tell, the default Type Selector thumbnail is hardcoded to the default Back-Left-Top view in the Family. It doesn't matter if you override the view cube orientation in the Family.
