Filter Schedule By Family & Type
Please add the ability to filter a schedule by Family, Family&Type or by Type this would eneble us to produce flashing shedules similar to the attached image. Each sketch would be a legend and the surounding fields are the properties for that type.
It would be very handy to filter by family or type in schedules. Different duct fittings and accessories use different information, therefore creating multiple duct fitting schedules could go a lot easier if we could filter by name or type.
Filter by: Family contains Elbow
Wouldn't that be nice...?
I guess in the meantime I could create multiple project parameters like "Appears in Elbow Schedule" and "Appears in Canvas Schedule" and "Appears in Saddle Schedule"
Filter by Type and/ or Family would reduce the number of colums needed in a lot of schedules and would make things spacially in the early phases of a project easier. In advanced project phases usually typemark and mark are heavily used and allow good filter option.
Thanks for your submission and votes on this idea! We are evaluating where this request falls into our roadmap and will provide an update when we have made a decision.
Filtering is not supported for the following scheduled fields:
Family
Type
Family and Type
Those are precisely the fields that I would like to filter on. I'm sure that there is some historical reason why these are excluded but please support these fields in filters. They would make filtering that much more powerful and save us from having to come up with all sorts of workarounds, which just make us waste time.
Agree. I'm always missing this feature and causes my teams to find workarounds. Please add this feature along with worksets to schedules. It makes no sense not to.
