Today there is no Moldflow API function to direct transfer or recalculate node coordinates from LCS (Local Coordinate System) to GCS (Global Coordinate System). Also, to get coordinates of LCS, as not node dependent. There are some requests about this in forum, but no solution. Read coordinates acc to LCS via macro. API - How to determine the coordinates of a node in the LCS state ? Please, implement such a function, or provide a script. Thanks. / Berndt

Moldflow API: Class MaterialPlot : to be able to set Temperature and Pressure for XY-graph. This is regarding creating a XY-graph of material properties in Moldflow API: Rheological Properties (Viscosity) and PVT Properties. When creating a MaterialPlot, a XY-plot, you could use members such as: DefaultValueRangeX DefaultValueRangeY ValueRangeMaxX ValueRangeMaxY ValueRangeMinX ValueRangeMinY This always gives 4 values for Temperatures (Viscosity: Shear rate vs. Viscosity) or 5 values for Pressure (PVT: Temperature vs Specific Volume) Sometimes you would like to plot one or two curves in the XY-graph. Enhancement request: Add the options: 1) To be able to set Temperatures (1 to 5 curves) or use default in Viscosity XY-graph. 2) To be able to set Pressures (1 to 7 curves) or use default in PVT XY-graph. Reference: Set MatSel = Synergy.MaterialSelector() MatSel.Select The personal material data is getting an ID, material index, but how and when it is assigned the ID is not clear or documented. Hence no other way, then what is described in Synergy API Reference: "material index in the database that uniquely identifies this material; the easiest way to ascertain the material index is to record a macro that selects the material from the database". This is a tedious and extensive work when many materials. Or changes, not sure of how ID is set. Would be good to have a function in Moldflow API to easier get this material index. A more automated way, then record a macro that selects the material from the database for each material. See also topic in forum: How to know material ID in user material database Regards, Berndt

Hello Development Team, maybe for a next API Version it is possible to add an Analysis Information Object with the information of analysis performance data, system data, i.e. analysis time (CPU processor time), used RAM size, used threads and so on. Today it is only awkward possible to get this informations from a log file. So the information is there, why not easy to get? This informations are important to know for example comparing computer performance, find performance problems, reporting computer usage and so on. Best Regards, Bernd Martens

I hope to add the functions/attributes to get the maximum,minimum value in the x,y direction of the part. If it does, there is good things: In Geometry tab - Craete - Cooling Circuit, The Number of channels can be calculated automatically by inputting the Distance between channel centers.

I would like to be able to set the Highlight property for weld line/weld and meld line plots using a script. I understand that you can just 'set plot settings as default' for this plot. But, there are several times I have to go back and set this property again: -Bug in 2016 (though fixed in 2017) where if you change mesh display it automatically sets the highlight dataset back to "Weld and Meld Lines". -Occasionally we may want to see the angle of the weld line so we toggle between temperature and default dataset. -Some colleagues may not have have changed their defaults. When automatically generating the reports this plot may not be set properly. -If for some reason I have to go back and create a weld and meld line plot I have to also set the dataset to temperature. I am most concerned with this during automatic report generation. If the analysis was run/plot was created in 2016 then the bug may have reset the dataset. Or one of the other situations may have occurred. In either case, it would be nice to be able to add this to my code like any other property.

I would like to be able to assign more than 10 macros (I'm one of those that uses tons of macros). Could we add a way to leave the limit open-ended? I don't even need a button for it, really. I'd be happy enough to leave the 10 buttons and just add functionality to also assign hot-keys to open scripts in a designated folder.

I occasionally like to change the visual properties of the entities depending on what I'm doing: -Beams to Axis Line Only or Shrunken when connecting to triangles/tets -Tris/Tets and beams to Solid for certain slides of my reports -Set all back to Solid + Axis Lines Currently I have to do this with the SendKeys function of WSH, but I'd really like to get around that because if you were to press a key while sendkeys is running then it'll mess up the script.

In Synergy you have the study name, which is accessible by StudyDoc.StudyName In study, also you can also access mesh type by StudyDoc.MeshType Ask for enhancement to be able to access part file name, such as StudyDoc.PartName to get the .ipt, .stp, .x_t or any cad file imported. When automating and creating scripts, information about CAD-file imported for study is many times needed, as a reference for study. Please, add this.
