Dear Moldflow Product development team, @raalte The usage of annular rectangular cross-section hot runners, such as the FDU hot runner (FDU | Products | Hot runner nozzles), is increasing rapidly. Modeling them as 1D annular rectangular beams is not a direct option in Moldflow Synergy 2025. An alternative option is to use a 3D Tetra mesh with a hot gate 3D valve gate system. The process of analysis always involves disconnection between the analysis and license server. Especially when analyzing large models with bucking, it often occurs, resulting in a long analysis time. Customer's demand: 1.License verification for Autodesk. Can we avoid such a high frequency? For example, changing it to verify once an hour, or even once every 24 hours. 2. Backend buffer verification. For example, during license verification, if there is a failure, continue the verification, and after the verification is OK, continue the analysis; After successful verification, the validity period is 15 minutes; And the next verification should be conducted within these 15 minutes, don't wait until 15 minutes later. If multiple verifications fail within 15 minutes after the last one, the analysis will be paused. 3. Real time verification. The license can be verified in real-time, and after successful verification, it is valid for 15 minutes. After successful connection, it will continue to connect in real-time. After a new connection is successful, the validity period will be updated to 15 minutes. when arranging windows in synergy its difficult to handle more than 2 windows.   sometimes i have to compare 6 or more options and its very difficult to order them in a nicely manner.    to move them around manually results in not alligned windows    for this a function would be nice to lock windows into place or to allign windows automatically to the neighbor windows (as f.e. possible in powerpoint) or switch positions around. f.e. you "tile" the windows and you are not happy  that window 2 is at position 4 a function to swap the position of windows would be nice > click window 1, window 2 >positions are swapped       Show More

I would like to suggest a simple but necessary option as below:   I would like to request the option of not modifying the Surface mesh node when creating a 3D mesh.   I know that there is a need to modify the more optimized surface mesh when creating a 3D mesh. However, we hope to help customers decide to modify the Surface mesh as needed.   This option is mainly needed when creating a surface mesh using hypermesh or simlab, and when there is an assembly shape such as a mold insert or part insert.   When creating a 3D mesh in the Moldflow environment, a problem occurs in which the nodes of the part mesh, part insert mesh, and mold surface mesh are not accurately connected. Hello Autodesk and Moldflow users,   I would like to propose property visualization of boundary conditions like the gate contact diameter and coolant flow/temperature of inlets. On several occasions I have missed checking 1 of several cool inlets only to find out mid-solving my coolant flow or temperature was set incorrectly.   Currently to check the gate contact diameter users need to open process settings, advanced options, solver parameters, fill+pack analysis tab because right clicking the "cone symbol" does not allow users to navigate directly to this menu.   In the case of coolant properties users can either check each separate inlet by right clicking on the inlet symbol or they can go to the boundary conditions tab, coolant inlets/outlets, coolant inlets. This opens a dialog with a list of all inlets used in the study but it does not highlight the selected inlet in the work view, even when going into the "edit" dialog.   I think it is more user friendly if each boundary condition symbol shows the relevant properties directly in the work view (see attached image) and is right clickable for editing its properties.    I'm using Insight 2024, file version 47.1.8 Show More

Customer requirements: The moldflow process and the actual injection molding machine process settings are different, for example, the actual valve gate is opened through ram position control, and the packing phase through time control. It is not possible to set the moldflow in this way. The moldflow can only control the ram position or time separately, which requires an additional round of analysis, which is not conducive to actual comparative analysis of the moldflow. The customer suggests that Autodesk can make some improvements in the setting method, and the control of the valve needle supports multi-stage control of ram position and time. Hello Developer team, Recently we came across an error: Error :301150 with Autodesk support and we realized (Based on Autodesk support team) that  The investigation has exposed an issue in the code: The incident is triggered for large 3D models running large deflection with mesh aggregation disabled and upgrade tetras set to either automatic or all. While the model size and type of geometry (ratio of thicker vs thin layer areas) is the driving factor, we cannot estimate beforehand if the incident will occur or not. Until a solution is released, the recommended solution for this type of models is run large deflection with mesh aggregation enabled. The provided ****ysis had gaps in the node numbering. It is important to make sure the node labels had been squeezed before running any ****ysis --> this we already tried. With this scenario there was a thought (Knowing it's very much tricky but may doable), Can we have a hybrid mesh (DD+3D) where we can have 3D in complex area where Midesh is not suitable so we have to go with 3D and other area we can keep DD (Thin area / uniform thickness area) to keep element count in control? Hello! I'm Peter with Moldflow technical support in Korea. Recently, I have written a technology development request that many customers are requesting. Nowadays, the shape is complicated by the development of plastic products with many functions. Because of this, if "undercut" is not detected and the "Exclude clamp force option" is not selected, a clamp force calculation error will occur. As shown in the figure below, the undercut part has to cancel the clamping force due to the offset of internal pressure.   Moldflow developers can help prevent this error. Good Day All, All materials in the Moldflow database should have a parameter for the Filler data. Currently, you can't specifically search for unfilled materials.  Also, materials with Confidential filler information should be listed as confidential in a search. You can see it if you look at material details, but not on search. So I propose two things shown in red below, a parameter called Unfilled and Confidential fiber/filler to be added so all materials can be searched for their filler description.     Thanks, Jay Shoemaker Show More
