Inventor Nastran 2025.1 has been released. This is my list of changes that I believe are important to users, taken from various sources.

To install the update, go to manage.autodesk.com and click “All Product and Services” on the left. Or use the app Autodesk Access that is installed on the computer to update from 2025.0.

Item

Change in version 2025.1

1

New feature displays a list of warnings and errors.

  • If there are warnings or errors after the analysis completes, click the “View Errors” button on the solution complete dialog.
  • After dismissing the solution complete dialog, or when re-activating a previous analysis, click the “Solve > Error List” button in the ribbon.

2

The checkmark next to the active item on the right-click “context” menus is now shown. (The checkmark was missing since version 2023.1.)

3

XY Plot shows the graph properly when Windows is set to use a comma as the decimal symbol.

4

When creating an AVI, Multiset animations will hide the parts that “Part View” indicates should be hidden. In some situations, the parts were not hidden with older versions.

5

When creating an AVI, Multiset animations will hide the section view properly. In some situations, the model was not sectioned in the animation with older versions.

6

Material properties from a Moldflow analysis can be used in a Nastran analysis. (This was not working in 2024.1 and newer.)

7

Improved calculation of friction in an Explicit Dynamics analysis which reduces the tendency to “stick” and stretch or drag nodes an unreasonable amount.

8

A warning is no longer given when running an Explicit Dynamics analysis that does not have constraints. (Constraints are not a necessity in a dynamic analysis.)

9

Numerous translations (localization) of interface labels have been fixed.
