Inventor idw to AutoCAD without exploding lines

Inventor idw to AutoCAD without exploding lines

Hi everyone,

When I create an Inventor drawing, it generates objects based on solids. But when I export an idw to ACAD dwg all lines get exploded, and there's no way to select objects, only lines.

Is it possible to export from IDW to DWG keeping objets like solids without becoming a sheet full of losed lines?

Thanks in advance!!

Example: Whe use Factory Design Utilities in Inventor, so we model 3D workplants, then we export to ACAD and the customer may need some adjustments, in which we do in ACAD to latter adjust 3D modeling.

Sometimes we enven model everithing in 2D ACAD to give the customer a quick propose.

I'll attach two examples:

"What we get from Inventor.dwg" - exploded lines.

"What we want from Inventor.dwg" - lines grouped according to solids in modeling.

I'm closing this idea because a there's another way to adress this need.
