How long have you been using Inventor?  Threads in Inventor are a cosmetic thread and there's no actual threads created.  So yes when you export it, its going to be a smooth surface..

Either model or use the cool orange thread add-in..  But when you start creating threads and more threads in your model its going to impact your Inventor performance.

Ok.. Perfect... Inventor is working just fine then.. Smiley Very Happy

Try this and see how it works for you..

You may need to model the threads using a coiled sweep depending on if the coolorange tool produces "usable" threads with your printer..

I have never heard of "123d make".  Is this for professional use, or is it for hobby use?

What are your system specs?

Maybe Fusion 360?  Runs on  Windows or Mac but requires internet connection.

That product 123D has been discontinued and its features have been placed into Fusion 360 and another product which I can't remember.

fusion 360 if it works, but 1234d make is like an extension of the 360 fusion, but it can work independent of the 360 fusion. Apparently my graphic card is imcompatible. My machine is old, but it has been running these inventor programs 2019.
