When i importe data from civil 3d to IW the application give a list of alignment and enable user to chose which aligments and corridor come along with them should be use. Hi. We need cut surface(slope) model of road design ,both surface(Resent terrain filled after by artificial deposit) and subsurface(Old terrain before the deposit ) plane. Infraworks seems that it can not represent both plane at the cut surface of road planning. I hope that it will be able to show both surfaces on the Inraworks model. The custom grading should also save to assembly libray as well not just the components (or there maybe a separated library for grading). Also when i reimport data source of imported alignments the custom grading is wipe out and i have to readjust grading one more time for each data source changments. When importing shape areas as a Grading feature, it is not possible to get Cut&Fill volumes in the Terrain Statistics for them. The idea is to enable full Terrain Statistics for any imported Grading area (plus Coverage Area).  Show More

InfraWorks doesn't support the Closed alignment circle objects created from Fixed Curve in Civil 3D. There should be at least a 1 mm gap between the ends of it or the corridor needs to be created from it. Default zoom in cross section view is always to small for my narrow roads, i need to zoom in all the time. I often will grab high res screenshots of site aerials from Google Earth and bring them into IW as terrain overlays as a quick way to improve ground imagery in a small area. Or photoshopped site plans from an architect to depict proposed design. I'm against such tight deadlines that I honestly do not have time to go through the process of geolocating ground imagery or figure out another method. Problem is, all my coverage areas are then covered and there is no way to move them on top. PLEASE DEVELOP A WAY TO MOVE COVEREAGE AREAS ABOVE TERRAIN OVERLAYS. It would be nice if there was a Buffer option for surfaces.  I often use model builder combined with a survey or a less detailed broader project environment with a more detailed close project environment and the connection edges are usually not pretty. (See screenshot)   If there was a buffer option where you could define the width of the area where the two surfaces are transitioned into each other, that would give a much nicer outcome. I think this same principle could be really useful in Civil3d as well when pasting surfaces together.     Show More
