When using the pattern function if the operation needs regenerated the Red X is not visible if the pattern is collapsed. This is also true for the "pending" regeneration message. When I have large machining setups I cannot easily tell when it is complete with the whole setup. Show More

Hello Autodesk, We would love to see a more automated process for posting CAM programs along with their corresponding set up sheets.  We have multiple setups in one assembly. Presently each setup has to be posted individually as well as the setup sheet that goes with it.  The setup sheet has to be renamed manually, as it defaults to the Assembly file name.  It would be great to post a group of setups to a folder location and with that group post Inventor would also make the setup sheet for each, using the same file name as the setup.   Show More

So I'm looking to do some relief cuts on a part and using the Harvey Tool database.  For what I'm seeing, the tool can only be represented up to a radius on 180° of the cutter, while this one has a 270° spherical radius. I'm not seeing too much issue with my current machining simulation, but I'd prefer to see this addressed for those making full use of these tools and simulating in a 5-axis environment.         Show More

It would be a great feature in HSM Express to have a Plunge Roughing strategy. For some large chambers to mill (600 mm diameter, 80 mm deep) our cnc-tools supplier recommended using this strategy in combination with a large bore-mill. See picture:   Show More

When you have a situation like below, it would be nice to have a option that after tool change it starts at the latest WCS and goes all the way back to the first  WCS.   Their is a work around like below but it is more nice to have that option in the Setup.   Hopefully the pictures below explane more.     Show More

Hi All   In the world of Wirecutting everything is very out of date, old school, over complex and booring!   It would be nice if we could get EDM wirecutting in HSM/Fusion360... I actually think they could get 'a lot' of customers or visibility out in the cam world if it was a smart and simple wirecut software, think how simple wirecutting is? why not implement! (I know there are specific challenges to this, it's not THAT easy, but still) if it was made smart and simple (which it can and should be) then they would blow the competition away...   EDM wirecut is needed to make HSM the full package 🙂 thanks for voting!     Show More

Hello,   If the model is created a cam data in inventor, the cam tab will show automatically next to the model tab. And if a model hasn't any cam data before and now, the tab will not be show, the tab automatically disappear. I tested when the model was created a cam data before, and the data delete now. But the cam tab still show automatically, it can be confused.   So If the cam data delete in inventor, the cam tab have to show optionally. The option need to create in inventor or inventor cam.   Please vote if you agree with the above case. Thank you. Show More

Hey Guys,   From some of the forum threads , It was quite disappointing to know that the Advanced Manufacturing Extension (containing some really innovative features) as seen in the below image will not be brought into Inventor CAM . The option to stack holders for modular tooling systems and machine spindles.   Tool holding systems like CAPTO allow for universal extensions, Inventor CAM is lacking support for this type of tooling. Currently, you have to assemble a tool holder manually for each use case, where as you could theoretically model the individual modular components and add onto holder length where required.   Same feature could be used for making a spindle representation for collision avoidance. We have boring mills that have a W axis on the spindle, but we have to remake holders in the software to include this geometry to check for collisions. Every holder that requires specific collision avoidance needs to be remade for each machine W axis. If a similar case as above, spindle representations could be made for each machine and you could add the required tool holder to the new holder assembly.       This would add a lot more use to the holder collision system already in place. Hi   In Fusion360 it is possible to add more than one preset of cutting datas per each tool, so it is possible to add cutting data to one tool for different materials (i.e. steel, stainless steel and aluminium). When the tool is selectet for an operation so the specific preset can be selected. For me this would be really important to have this option in inventor cam, otherwise I need to make multiple tool libraries, one for each material that I need to manufacture and again one for each machine we have in our shop.   We switch a moment ago from F360 to Inventor product design and manufacturing collection and want to use now inventor for constructing and inventor cam for manufacturing our parts. So when we make changes on the parts the toolpaths will update. Show More
