Incorrect height offset when using "model bottom" with modeled workholding.

I'm trying to set up a parametric design for my vise/table so I can accurately simulate milling operations. I've selected the model, stock body, and fixtures for the setup to account for this, but if I try and use any offset relative to "model bottom," it goes crazy (screenshot attached--there is no model there?). "Model top" goes to the top of the stock body, which is also incorrect.
