Applying decal to selected faces not working

Good day

I used to be able to apply a decal to selected faces as this worked better than the chain faces option.

Below you will see a decal applied to a whole bunch of faces and worked perfectly.

Manually selected facesManually selected faces

After an update this no longer works. I edited the position of the decal and tried re-selecting faces as above and as seen only the first selected face was applied.

And using chain faces does not give the desired effect as well as the 1st example.

Please look into this as this is a feature I use quite often for our custom painted products.

Thank you

Franko

Hi,

Thanks for reporting. This is a new bug and we are looking at it now. No idea when it can be fixed, but it is logged and ready for developers to debug.

Looking ahead at a future version of Fusion that will be released in several weeks: this is fixed! Sorry that you have to wait a while for the update. As long as we don't find surprises while testing it - this will go away eventually. I can't be specific about dates, but it is not the update that will happen this week.

Thanks,

There was an update this week to version 2.0.7805. It should carry the fix for this bug. Can you please give it a try and let me know how it works for you?

To get the latest update (if you have not yet)

  • Restart Fusion. This begins the update. Click on the small clock icon to see the progress and restart.
  • After restarting, check your build number. It's in Help> About. Should be 2.0.7805.
  • Try the decal workflows you like.

Thanks,

The update seems to have fixed it. Just did a quick test but is working. Thanks
