T-Spline Self Intersecting but no issues Highlighted

Hello,

I am new to fusion 360. I tried to model my car, and I have gotten pretty far. The original model had many issues that I have done my best to resolve using these forums, but I am stuck. There are a couple more posts about Fusion 360 not showing the issue, but they are unhelpful because most just get into the model and show where the issues are found. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

yes, this can be frustrating, I admit.  It can be very hard to find smaller areas of self-intersection in a large T-Spline.  In your case, I was able to find one just by zooming/panning/rotating:

There is no science to it, other than maybe just looking for areas that look like they might self-intersect as a starting place.  I was able to fix this model by just moving that vertex around a bit, just enough to remove the self-intersection.  Not sure if this violates your design intent, but it does work:

That was the exact help I needed. Thank you!

Not a bad start!

The topology could be improved quite a bit. You have many areas such as the one I have highlighted below, that would greatly benefit from better edge flow.

Keeps at it, this looks promising!

Model 80% in box view mode and o check in smooth-view mode. If you make small adjustments (emphasis on "small") in smooth view mode, definitely check back in box view mode if that looks OK.

Upon further inspection:

Never continue to model with creases applied. I've seen a good number of "broken" models that could only be fixed by exporting an re-importing the control cage. It looks to me that you added too much detail before the overall shape was  satisfactory.
