Hi,

In order to draw a Sketch you first need to select the Plane you will draw on like this:

This will activate the Sketch Tools on the Toolbar here:

You should then be able to Sketch.

I would strongly recommend that you do the Basic Drawing Tutorials and check out the AutoDesk Tutorials

for Fusion 360. Then have a look at @TheCADWhisperer Tutorials on YouTube.

Hope this helps.

Andrew

I think I understand your problem. For design in Fusion 360 use the Modeling Environment(s). Once you have progressed with your design and you wish to document and communicate your work or WIP then you can move to the Drawing Environment. It is important to know that a sketch is not a drawing and a drawing is not a sketch. These terms, though similar in the wider world, have very distinct and different meanings in Fusion 360.

I have been having the same problem for few month now.
it used to work and then just stopped..
re installed, uninstalled other programs, antivirus etc.. for two month now, I've been messing up my pc..
long story short..
when trying to create a drawing, in task manager opens a new task "AcCoreConsole"
than the program stuck.
when in task manager ending the "Ac...", the program works..
I went to file location and tryed to "run as administrator" and it said "msvcp140_codecvt_ids.dll cant be found"...
google...
and then on some ADOBE forum I found the answer:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/problem-regarding-msvcp140-codecvt-ids-d...

and this the one that helped me.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio...
