Weldments and structures

Weldments and structures

I need to be able to create weldments ann structural designs like other cad tools. This is one feature which does not let me move to Fusion 360 completely. I wanna be able to make welded parts and see weld beads and also create welding drawings.

Regards!

...plus the ability to add weld symbols to drawings?

There are standard symbols to represent weldings as shown in the picture. I would want the software to autodetect the type of weld and insert a suitable symbol, also the ability to edit the symbol is required.

The other users said it well. This is the last piece of the puzzle to completely switch to Fusion 360 and abandon SW. I really hope that it is being worked on.

I go back and forth from Solidworks to Fusion 360.  when I need weldments, I use Solidworks.

Weldments and Structural elements would be fantastic

As a metal worker and engineer, this is probably one of my favourite features of SW
To be able to have a library of common profiles of both steel and aluminium, to be able to build a 3D sketch and allocate profiles with ease. Fusion 360 could improve on this feature by making the joint interface a bit more versatile too.

This has been under review for quite a while.  It would be nice to see it move forward at some time.

Auto-detect to add weld symbols is a nice to have, but even to put forward a first stage to allow proper weld symbols to be created would be very useful.

I'm new to both SWX and Fusion and 3D Modeling.  BUT.  I own a welding shop and have welded for 20 years.  The first thing I learned in SWX was structural steel modeling.  I definitely want Fusion360 to have this capability!

Guys, these features are really needed. Nowadays I use Inventor, and has a great weldments and frame generator modules. Both are really needed here to fully use F360. It is the last missing piece of the puzzle. Please. Thank you in advance.
