Visible space / Hidden Space

Visible space / Hidden Space

Whilst workng with assemblies which have a reasonable number of parts, it becomes increasingly important to be able to show/hide whichever component is of interest.  I know similar posts have talked about "unhide all components" etc, but this can become confusing when all your component light bulbs are on, but clearly the object of interest is still not displayed (body is hidden).  To find the hidden body using the tree can be time consuming.

What I've found very useful in other packages (Catia in my case), is the ability to swap between the visible workspace, and the hidden workspace.  This means you can jump into the hidden workspace, clearly see all the components/bodies that are hidden, select the one you need and change its visibility as required - then jump back to the visible workspace.  The hidden workspace is obviously different by the fact that the background is set to a specific colour (different to the visible workspace background).

Thank you for your idea, this is getting changed to archived due to lack of votes.  We have added to our backlog the ability shows all bodies.  This will be in addition to show all components.

I also come from a Catia background and I really miss this function. You really get to appreciate something when you don't have it anymore. If you don't know it, it seams useless.

I use folders to organize the items in the tree and I must go through every folder to find a specific part sometimes. For screen captures I sometime need specific components and I don't want to show everything again, just to find one screw.

I would also like to have this feature.
