It may provide users a little more confidence if a local encryption method was available, as in, allow the users to encrypt all models/data for which only they have the key, if someone accessed their Autodesk Account, they instantly have full access to the users Intellectual Property/Designs, if Autodesk Cloud was compromised then that would effectively put everyone's data in danger.
Sure Autodesk will protect Cloud data BUT I think I speak for a lot of people here, the users of Fusion are either reluctant to design and store any highly valued designs in the Cloud because no matter what Autodesk say about privacy and security of, people simply have little faith in this, it is another simple reason I would not be using Fusion for anything other than home projects etc and certainly not business/patent research work or anything alike should the opportunity arise.
Very capable software but the "Forced" use of Cloud features [which quite of few of us simply don't want anyway] are a serious downfall if people could not protect their designs independently, same theory as keeping your data in the Cloud, if its anything critical then it would be encrypted before even being put in Dropbox/Mega etc
