Toolpath trimming

Toolpath trimming

Generating a toolpath (especially in 3D) often results in some small, unwanted toolmoves.  In HSMWorks you have an option to trim the toolpath in order to remove this areas from the toolpath. This is much quicker than modifying the parameters several times, hoping the tool moves only where you want it to move.

It would be great if this feature find its way into Fusion360.

Thanks

Andreas

Often times a toolpath generates some unwanted toolmoves and trying to get a specific result without those unwanted moves by simply modifying parameters can be a nightmare.

HSM Works and other Cam softwares have the ability to trim or remove sections of generated toolpaths. This ability of removing unwanted sections via mouse clicks to highlight specific toolmoves, an expanding box to select multiple toolmoves together, or other methods of selecting the "toolpath lines" in the workspace to delete is a very simple and powerful tool and often much easier than trying to contain specific areas or modifying parameters hoping to get what you want.

I believe having this ability added to Fusion 360 would be very well received and make an already positive CAM experience even more so.

Thanks,

Chris.
