Can we post an Idea to improve the IdeaStation? Oh well, here goes. 
I've notice many request that are basically the same, the big one being able to create a user parameter in the dimension window, from what I've seen there are 7 or 8 such requests that should all be combined and all the votes counted. 30 votes for 10 identical ideas is 300 votes (for example) that aren't being counted correctly. I'm sure other Ideas are having similar issues. 
I suggest a feature be added to IdeaStation where we can link a new post to an old one and alert a moderator so they can promote the old post, combine them and add the additional votes the idea received.

I like this idea.  I think some people might not always search before they post or they might have a different wording for the same idea and don't end up finding similar ideas.  As others chime in with their thoughts I think it would be good to be able to link these various ideas so that a search that would bring up any individual one shows the multitude of ideas on the same subject.  I think it would also help to see the amount of times an idea has been brought up over the months and years so that the Fusion team can see if things have been discussed and never followed up on easier.
