Hi,
I noticed a couple of times, when I leave for a small break and I come back after 10 minutes the first thing Fusion360 does after touching the mouse is starting a "saving recovery" action.
This recovery action is already annoying me since ages since it blocks the complete functionality and if I dare to touch any buttons while it is saving Fusion will crash and loose the latest 10 minutes of design work.
But I get even more upset with it when I see he is just waiting for me to come back to the desk before it starts saving. It sure feels like bullying me 🙂
Would it be a good idea to implement a "low activity tracker" which knows you are not working for a couple of minutes so he makes the recovery during that period? like an antivirus scanner, they only scan during low activity so the user doesn't notice a lower performance of the computer.
next to this suggestion, I still have the feeling Fusion is extremely slow from the moment the assembly gets a bit larger. I bought a new laptop since i thought my old one was low spec, but now with 32GB of ram, a brand new hi level i7 processor and dedicated GPU card, fusion still makes me wait for ages when I go back in the timeline, during opening of files, saving of recovery, autosave... my cpu is only occupied at 30% when fusion is freezing, the RAM being used is about 6GB and GPU usage is low during freezing. So there is way more capacity in the machine then fusion is using, but still it is painfully slow.
in average, when doing a 6hr design marathon, I have to add another 2hrs of non-productive waiting time.
thanks for your help on this.
