Currently doing some experimentation with the in-browser performance for Fusion 360 and am loving it! In doing some playing around, we packaged Fusion 360 in an Electron wrapper and were able to play with it as a standalone app. It seems like a lot of functions are maintained, but you can't actually do any modeling inside the Electron-wrapped PWA (I get a
Cannot GET /app/sc/edit
return, so it seems to be something on the Autodesk side of the equation).
PWAs are supported across desktop, mobile, and browser-based platforms, and it seems that it would probably eliminate the need to develop Fusion 360 mobile apps while providing a much more robust replacement.
I just wanted to share it and thought this was the most appropriate place to do so!
