Please add the fill out window for the title block in the drawing section

Hey guys,

it is nice to see that the title block is updated now and it is possible to create a specific title block. Sadly the window dissappeared, where you can type in the informations for the different fields. It would be awesome if you guys could add it again.

Dear Autodesk-Team,

while the new title block features are very helpful for new users, they are very workflow breaking for veteran users.

The title block "issue" was one of my first Fusion 360 problems in 2016. After a research through the forums and youtube, i had to install a trial version of AutoCAD 2D to create my title blocks and later a software of a 3rd party (free) to maintain my title blocks.

This workflow was very complicated, but it worked.

Now all my title blocks are "useless" and i have to change them all.

Please bring back the fill out window!

My colleague, who is working on my CAD-Station, was turning crazy while i was on vacation.

Also a problem i noticed, where does it save my new title blocks (the ones that i made in F360)?

I can only see it in the quick preview (see picture below).

A folder section, where i can organize, delete and edit the title blocks would be very helpful!

Thank you very much for your "Idea" Christopher!

Hi @konstruktion2GTMB,

I also created my own title blocks with AutoCAD like you did. They still work but I need to click through every field to fill out the title block. If you created yours in the correct way it should still work as well.

Nevertheless it is not perfect yet and I hope this will be changed soon.

Cheers

Hello @FusionChris,

thank you for your quick tip.

I first have to change the title block in F360, otherwise the text will be displayed in blue (see picture).Title block test.png

Best regards,

André

Hi @konstruktion2GTMB,

you're welcome! Yep the blue color is something we need to deal with as well I guess. That's a new visual effect we don't like in Germany.

Cheers

The best feature of the original title block text attribute editor is now gone.

Please bring it back.

In order to create a text field that allows me to have multiple lines of text (say for a "notes" section), I now have to create individual attributes for each line, which is tedious and looks messy if one line of text is longer than the other. F360 automatically resizes the text, so having multiple lines of different sized text in a "notes" section looks rather unprofessional.

At least allow us to shift+return to move to the next line in the current attribute input field. Right now, it just saves and closes the attribute editor, no new line created.

The new title block seems like it's far more versatile, but I think F360 team jumped the gun on the integration.

Looking forward to future updates where it's more easily manageable.

The new version introduced a living hell into my design workflow 😞

Please, oh, please, bring back the title block text attribute editor !
