Parametric Modeling with excel and fusion 360

Like in Inventor. It would be nice to be able to export and modify model parameters to an excel table for easy modification and then allow for import and updating from the linked excel file.

Thank you.

Hey cfmoreno,

Good idea. Check out this script one of my colleagues made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwWDpQSrz7o

Hey there @jodom4 Thanks for this input!

This is an amazing addition for this software and I really like what your colleague did! This Fusion Sheeter deserves more attention.

Just wish this would be native so more people can benefit from this. One of the things I miss from Inventor the most. Helps a ton when modifying something out, or letting someone else modify it for you from a simple sheet.

Have a great day!

Don't they have something like this? I remember using a function where I can export/import CSV files with units, dimensions, or functions to define parametrically etc

Hi everyone,

As we prepare to update our sketch/modeling roadmaps I wanted to provide an update for this specific request. This is on our roadmap and is being reviewed for possible future work. As that gets closer we will share more about the specific items we are working to address and ask for additional input.

Thanks,

John
