When in window it is not possible to open a linked component by means of right mouse click/button on the selected component. As far as i know, you need to select the component in the browser. In a large assembly, - Right click on component in window, Select find in browser, then select component in browser, then right click Open. Could be shorter, bij just right clicking on the component.
