Move folders between projects

Guys! this is something basic.

I still can believe that in 2018 be can't move folders between projects! It looks like each project is a distant galaxy and nothing can't be moved there. Only just "copy" each design to that project and then delete the originals. If you have a folder with nested folders with dozens of designs, parts, tech drawings, etc....you will have a great time copying each design, recreate your whole hierarchical structure, and put the corresponding files inside it. Why in heaven don't just give the option to move everything as it is from one project to another???

Guys, we are in a time where Projects (can) have multiple folders, and each folder can be a specific part of the project, and this folder again can have multiple folders and so on...That is exactly how almost 99% of the companies and people work: branching and nesting multiple folders with multiple files, organising everything just like a bunch of pictures inside the family album. It is just funny that, for now, Fusion 360 gives the user just a level of organisation (Project-Design) before the chaos with folders starts.

Summarising: Please jump into 2018 and add the functionality to move folders between Projects!

Has there been any discussion of this topic on other threads?  I agree with the original poster that it seems crazy this is still not possible.

Yes I am curious as to the status of this also.

We have started off under one project, but as the data has expanded into different levels, we needed to reorganize.  The easiest way would be to just move the folders to a new project, but  it is like the original requester has stated,  we don't have lightspeed yet so wee can't get there.

 The other thing, is that when I try to move,  the very useless and uninformative message comes up saying FAILED,  but no answer or explanation is given to help guide us along.  At least they might be able to add some form of guidance.

Bump - Count me interested as well. This is a pretty big stumbling block as it prevents people from being able to organize / reorganize their folders and content.

Yes, i Agree and hope this will  be cachanges closely. I also have often heavy Problems with deleting  files because  someone (I work as a teacher with Students) still has some link (even he is not nor in the users-List) to the Design.

So if there in not very soon some solution for definite deleting (even with links) and copying/moving Folders then i i have to stop my work with Fusion 360 and switch back to Solid works. We have an university for engineers an thought this might be a new interesting Software (besides catia and Alias) for starting project development work. But in the End you come up with to to much folders and can't clean up your workspace properly this gets to confused. Sorry but i think it really is necessary to give in here some work.

Hi Guys,

Any news on this... you're providing some great tools but there are core (perhaps boring) functionalities that really need to be in place to enable work to be re-organised... particularly as you are promoting team integration. Folder structure organisation is a key design requirement that would allow team projects to evolve as they become more complex and defined. The idea of depicting those folders within a well illustrated tree structure would allow users to be able have a panoramic view of projects, project folders and associated sub folders.

Couple that with the ability to drag and drop would be wonderful...

Fusion 360 is a fantastic CAD system... and I, for one, am very grateful that it exists.
