Did you mean:

mirror to just copy and mirror half a model not fuse both halves into one

mirror to just copy and mirror half a model not fuse both halves into one

mirror works great to make a full copy fusing two halfs together

but if you want to have the other half alon you need top copy paste etc ...

so it would be nice if mirror could have an open to

just copy and mirror

or

copy mirror and fuse

It would be nicer if it was a single click, but it's pretty easy to do now.

Here is a video I just did to illustrate:

True but if you want to mirror it right next to it it will fuse

Long ago I asked for the same and it was archived but this would be very useful.

Yeah seems bizzare that an advanced version is there but a more basic mirror that just copies is not ...

Ah well

You are reading my mind. Currently i have to construct a slightly offset plane and mirror on it.

I have a similar request here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation-request-a/mirror-without-merging-duplicating-bo...

I would also like the ability to convert a right-handed part to a left-handed version - without duplicating.

Also agree with @maruska , mirroring a body without duplicating it should be  available  and easy to do .

I agree it would be nice to have.

yeah man consider this Blender can do it since a long time

but seriously this would be a very useful feature when mirror has a merge check box

This is a total no brainer and has 5 votes - that should be plenty of support.
