As soon as we have all the pieces in place we will support retina dapples. Some of our 3rd party components don't yet support retina and that makes this harder than we would like.
On MacOS, application chrome is rendered at retina-res by default, but the model view is not. To turn on model retina rendering, go to Preferences > Graphics > Use high-resolution graphics, and check the box.
