Hi,
when mirroring an object you need to have a mirror line. Often these mirror lines are "virtual" as you don't really need them as part of your assembly or sketch so you have to draw/create something to mirror your objects. It would be great to not having to create this lines/plane prior to selecting/starting the mirror feature but beeing able to dynamicly tell Fusion360 where to mirror after selecting the objects to mirror. This could then not result in an object that has to be delted afterwards but could magically disappear after clicking ok.
As an example you could look at AutoCADs mirroring. There you can just click to points to create a virtual mirror line that never appears in your drawing later. Something like this should easily work within sketches in Fusion360. For the 3d environment of course this wouldn't work that easy but maybe something similar could be found?
The same goes for center points of circular patterns or lines for rectangular patterns. With a bit of snapping logic it shouldn't be a problem to dynamically set these in sketch mode - again for the 3d world this has to be different.
Maybe anyone else with an idea for 3D? What do you think?
