Dynamic updating of projected features

Dynamic updating of projected features

In a parametric model, the location of anything that is projected onto shetches is subject to change if the parameters are changed. These projections don´t currently update properly in Fusion, making it hard to make good parametric models. For example if I want to reference a hole in a plate, and the position of the hole is determined by user parameters holeX and holeY, the projected hole in a sketch on the plate should also move when the user changes holeX and holeY.

This should work now, if you have examples that don't, make a post in the support forum and include example designs where it fails. As you're talking about using parameters I guess you have history enabled so have you tried a Compute All from the Modify menu when it fails?

I tried compute all, and I think that worked! Thank you, didn´t know of that button. It really seems like it´s a hack-fix button that shouldn´t really be necessary, but at least it worked:)

It is a hack-fix use in case of emergency and usually it's not needed. I guess there's a tradeoff for performance where they could regen the model more thoroughly but Fusion would be slower all the time just for these occasional problems. If you have a workflow where you run into it a lot you should make a post in the support forum so Autodesk know about it.
