With the convergence of gaming and visualization technologies, it would be great to have a simple way to export an entire scene/assembly or component to an FBX or OBJ file with mesh data.
From an assembly or component level in the hierarchy, selecting the export menu item would allow you to select FBX or OBJ formats and a dialog would appear that allows you to specify mesh conversion and asset requirements.
Ideally, for FBX exports, it would be nice to export all associated assets such as: texture map, UV coords, bump map, specular map, etc. for each object in the scene to preserve materials. Mating joints would also be great to have to preserve for motion studies/animation outside of Fusion.
I know I'm echoing some of what has been mentioned before, but I really believe this is something that could make Fusion much more productive in this area. Currently, it is possible to export OBJ files and convert BREP to mesh, but the process is difficult and limited to single bodies with no other asset information. Further more, its only seems to be available in Base Feature or Direct Modeling modes.
