Create Folder of Components in the Browser Tree

I understand this is being worked on, but folders of components in the browser tree is absolutely critical to my workflow. I just imported a machine today that has well over 1000 individual pieces of product that we are handling modeled (model is of a robotic workcell, and the product is just what the robot is handling, not really something I need to see in the design stack). This results in a near-endless scroll. 

Nearly every machine we design involves a fair number of product models building up and clogging up the design tree. It would be much appreciated to be able to hide this in a folder. 

This would also work well to hide screws and other simple hardware components.

Can't this be done just using a component as a subassembly to contain all the components for that subassembly.

Here's a mould tool I'm working on, I have a component that holds the whole tool then another for each half then more for the cavity plates and pins\screws. I can turn off all the pins\screws by hiding the holding component.

I think this is possible, but I would like to put parts under, say, a “product” folder, which are clearly separate parts not in a subassembly, but that aren’t important enough to be shown separately. Does that make any sense?

I completely agree to this.  Not just components though.  I would like to be able to create folders in all areas of the browser.  Specifically under joints.  A lot of what I am designing is going into the 100+ components with 100+ joints.  Ridged groups are good for some items but I am finding that I am creating two separate models.  One to draw concepts and one to do all the joints and development of motion studies on these.  Some better organisation would be great.  

One more to add to this would be to select an object and see what joints are linked to the part.

@Anonymous I've been thinking about separate assembly workspaces for experimenting with designs without affecting the model workspace, would be useful for laying out CAM work as well. Anyway I've lised the idea Here.

Yes! Please create Folders for grouping Components in the Browser Tree.

I agree. I've been looking for this feature in browser tree.

Make grouping components (parts or sub-assemblies) as folder are very useful in organizing assemblies.
This is quite a problem when making a BOM list.

Yes! It's need to work with a big assemblies, whose includ many components in same level, because in the browser tree we have a long list.

While adding the parts to another part to create a sub-assembly works okay most of the time for my organizational needs, I agree that it really would be better to have folders with a different look as an option as well.
