color cycle by sub assembly

color cycle by sub assembly

I find the fusion360 design's Inspect->Component Color Cycling Toggle to be a very useful visual aid.    It would be useful to extend this to support cycling by sub assembly.  In the browser tree, this would just correspond to the components at some specified nesting level, rather than cycling the colors at the leaf component level.

I totally agree and was about to suggest the very same thing. The way I think this could work would be:

Two "modes" of Component Color-Cycling (so pressing SHIFT + N would iterate through 3 states):

1) Off

2) Lowest-Hierarchy: [As currently] Color on the lowest hierarchy level, what you call "leave level"

3) Highest-Hierarchy: Color on the highest hierarchy level of the currently selected root-level, i.e the color of the "sub-components" of the current scope.
