It would be nice to be able to assign color to bodies ( as well as automatic color toggle similar to one that works for components). It's similar to appearance but is different in a way that you are not changing the material. It's just a tool to help read the design better.
This may not be exactly what you want, but try hitting "n" while you are looking at your model. It doesnt work with bodies but it does work with components.
This is a good idea and something that I miss about other CAD systems. I want to be able to apply materials properties to bodies (and I can), but sometimes I want to be able to easily tell different bodies apart by having a colour for each.
In CATIA for example, you can change to seeing the material appearance, or a user defined colour.
