Add the ability to turn on/off dimensions in sketch mode.

When working on a sketch that has A LOT of dimensions, things can get really busy and hard to read.

I would like to see:

1) Turn on/off all dimesions (should be quick way to toggle on/off).

2) Turn on/off specific dimensions.  For example, it would only show dimensions for the currently selected part of the sketch.

Couldn't agree more. I almost never want to see my screen cluttered with dozens of dimensions. An on/off button would be nice.

I'd be happy with a hide/supress dimensions AND a hide relations functionality as well. Often the two go together in cluttering the screen up.

Thank you for your idea - this is getting archived due to lack of votes.  The root of your problem is that Fusion 360 does not have a way to handle very large sketches.  Our current best practices is to break your sketch into several sketches.  We are working on a solution for the root problem.

Mike,

I don't mean to be difficult, but define "large sketch".

I'm trying to create pretty simple things in these sketches, but yet the UI
explodes with additional information cues(constraints/relationships) that
is over-fitting information to my design intent.

I think it's better to *assume *fewer constraints and relationships and
then make sure the process of adding them is as painless as possible,
suggesting reasonable constraints based on user selections on an
Add-Constraint tool workflow.

I'd love to have more opportunity to provide feedback or participate with
the team in this matter, because I think it can really make or break the
experience for more serious users.

I'm fine with trying to adopt best practices and not ask software for more
than it's meant to provide, but this is a mess for a line of squares, a
simple profile and two slots:

I trust the team can come to some better workflow and user experience
around this, and I'd be happy to help, especially if you're looking to grow
the team.

Jonathan,

Let's set up some time for a feedback session.  I can explain some of the solutions we are exploring in more detail.  Please send me a direct email at mike.prom@autodesk.com and I will respond with some options for time to have a call.

Cheers,

On the above sketch by the way, I ended up having to scrap it entirely and just start over to get the clean sketch I needed, but the tools aren't friendly to iterative adjustment and tweaking to sketch as a way of thinking, because of the vestigial relationships that don't cleanly break off or the way that entities get stacked on top of each other and can end up difficult to select through.

So that leads to the user not being able to just start sketching in an exploratory fashion, rather than just view sketches as a way to create a digital version of a clean print drawing.

Thanks Mike, I'll be in touch!

All the dimensions in a very small design sketch can become a distracting mess. If I'm trying to visualize something freeform around a set of constraining elements the process gives me a headache. I know what the dimensions are and I don't care at that point. Could be a part of the display options on the bottom to toggle visibility. It's on a layer I can't hide when unneeded.

Constraints reappear even when they are clicked OFF too. So far I'm glad I'm getting this for free and not invested in it business wise. The dimensions don't always resize to fit the zoom level either. TERRIBLE for design work, great for checking sizes if needed but is not always the fact when designing new concepts or visual updates to freeform sketch objects.

Sketch Menu is too large and not well spaced... I have a list, it's not pretty and it extends beyond the screen at times.
