Hello Everyone.
Over the past few weeks, I have searched far and wide for tutorials on the end to end process of creating EAGLE library files with 3D Packages for already existing products and surprisingly have not come across a single complete source of information on the matter.
Some of you probably have come across my questions I have posted on the forums recently and I want to thank everyone for taking the time to help out.
I created a PDF document that explains the overall process of accomplishing the task of creating a library file from scratch (for either a part that has already has been produced or a new one) so one can then easily use this library file in other projects. I would hope that more companies in the future create these “board only” library files, as I call them, and I encourage everyone to reach out to their favorite product producers to encourage this.
The document is by no means perfect and if there are any suggestions or mistakes found please message or post a reply in this thread and I will add/fix anything that is needed.
Once again, thank you to all the community members and hopefully others will get some insight out of this tutorial!
