Objects are not highlighted when selected in Eagle 9.1.3

In Eagle 8 objects always got highlighted when selected. Also, in "show" mode wires were highlighted when selected. In Eagle 9.1.3 nothing is highlighted anymore at all. Very inconvenient. Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix it?

To clarify, highlighting works fine in layout but doesn't work in schematics anymore the way it used to work in v8.

Hi eivan7538,

I hope you're doing well. I can't reproduce this, or more likely I'm not understanding what you mean. Could you give me a procedure to reproduce what you are seeing?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

im going to say the high-lighting is terrible... I can barely see it
this is using the DEFAULT settings, moving from the defaults is a cat mouse game
as I can never find a perfect setting... other than use OLDER EAGLE (which isn't going to happen)
if you look at this image, im high-lighting 5v, you can HARDLY TELL

its prob releated to being a white screen

Eagle has to work RIGHT out of the box, with no "color" tweaking

cause the setting works good in the board view (black screen)

setting the highlight % lighter really makes it WORSE

mitchjs explained pretty well, I'm seeing the same: there is a slight difference in color but it's almost impossible to see. Is there any setting where I can tweak that to make the color difference between highlighted and non-highlighted objects more visible?

there are settings, look at the menu; Options->Set
you will see highlighting

but I cant really find a setting im happy with, as one looks great on the PCB but then not so on the Schematic

im sure its related to background color, I do white for schematic, and black for PCB

which I think is default

Oh, thanks a lot, Mitch. I set it to high contrast and highest hue, now highlighting is bright purple. Great, problem solved!

Yes, but how do you set high contrast?

1. Go to Options->Set...

2. Check the High Contrast checkbox

3. I set Hue to about 25% for a nice, bright blue color.

(I expected this would be under the User Interface option, so I missed it the first time I tried to set high contrast)

Really wished when you used the 'Show' function on a net it would make it flash instead of just highlighting it as a lot of times I barely can see it highlighted.
