BIM360 Forge API to get document set and other custom attributes

We are trying to use Forge API to build up a solution to get the information of a item how many versions it contains and for each version which set it belongs to, as well as for the item the custom attributes values, and then export all these to an excel.

So far I didn't find any usefully API to get which set a document belongs to, neither did i find any API to get the customized attributes.

can anyone help?

If what you meant by document set is as attached snapshot, sorry the API or data has not been exposed. We have a wish logged: (ALEX-37452) Wish: expose API for Version Set.

As to document custom attributes, the API is available in private-beta. you can  find the API reference at:

since it is private-beta, it may subject to change and is not officially supported. Thanks for understanding.

Dear Xiaodong,

Do we already have a roadmap when we can get the Document Set information with Forge API? Our company have been heavily using document set it's a major gap where we can pull those set information to our custom solutions.

Hi @kevin_zhu , I checked the status of ALEX-37452. Unfortunately, it is still Open which normally means our engineer team has not resource yet on this wish. Sorry for the bad news. 

Please feel free to add to the idea station. It will help PMs to correct ideas and with each items with number of customers voting will help PM team prioritize among them. (It will help us push product team as well.)
