It is common practice to create a master project template which has the basic configuration for starting a new project.   New projects are created from the master template and inevitably changes will be made to the template project. When drawings for an AutoCAD Plant 3D or AutoCAD P&ID project are in use by designers the project settings are locked. For the evaluation of passage widths and other minimal values of distances it would be helpful if object snaps would work at all plant3d parts. Unfortunately it is actually not possible to evaluate the distances to quadrats of flanges, positions of hand wheels and so on. The only possibility is to explode the plant3d parts to solids. Currently when creating Orthos and adding dimensions if you move something in the model and Update the Views in the Ortho the dimensions do not update. I would like to see the dimensions tied to the components they are placed on and update automatically. Show More
