This is kind of a two part idea. The fist is having the ability to select and delete multiple sizes from the size section in the spec editor. You have to delete sizes one at a time currently and it resets your selection each time you delete which allows for errors if you are not careful.       The second part would be to give the ability to rearrange the sizes as it often happens where the size you add will automatically go to the bottom of the list so if you added a 4 to my current list it will show up under the 100 instead of being at the top. I understand why this happens and there is a workaround I use to fix it but it is very time consuming process that I am sure can be automated.   Show More

Currently there's only P&ID linelist for Plant 3D link to P&ID and no equipment list. It would be great to have a P&ID Equipment list, and the command when selecting the Equipment in Plant 3D model then jump to the mapping P&ID drawing automatically. Thank you. Show More

AutoCAD Plant 3D enables the user to create a tap joint or threaded tap joint on blind flanges and caps. With new pipes, nipples and couplings the user can just chose a point on the blind flange/cap 's face and the joint is created automatically. With an instrument (threaded or otherwise) Plant 3D does not create an automatic tap joint. Even though instruments are in reality often screwed directly into threaded tap joints. To create an instrument connected directly with a blind flange / cap the user has to jump through several hoops. As shown in this screencast. It would be a big improvement if placing an instrument directly on the surface of a blind flange/cap would have AutoCAD Plant 3D act in the same way as it does with other fittings or pipes placed directly placed on such a surface. As an alternative users could be allowed to directly create tapped connectors without a connecting part (much as a user can directly add a weld to a pipe) so that the connector can exist on its own and can then be used for switching different types of parts, from fittings to instruments to pipes. Since the release of the 2022 version we now have green insulation everywhere. Why? The transparency thing is pretty neat, even though I didn't miss it when it wasn't there.    Could we please get control over the insulation layers? There are several threads in the forum where people are complaining about this. At least set the insulation color to the same as the pipes. This is really annoying, especially since the Navisworks model also get the green insulation since the 2022 version. This is what we show our customers and they think we're idiots when we forget to change the colors.  Show More

If you rename in project manager a drawing, this will be reflected in Windows Explorer but if you rename a folder in project manager this won't be reflected in Windows Explorer. It would be great if this will be reflected, too.  Show More

Since a couple of Version of P3D the insulation is show transparent and green. This looks very good in Autocad, but isn't helpful in Navisworks.   Hi all,   At this moment we always need to manually change the layer color of the insulation to match the piping color. We automatically color our pipes according to the Service to identify the different piping systems easily in Navisworks. We need to redo this layer color change every time we change the Line number.   We would very much like to have an option to automatically choose the insulation color via the Project Setup (or some other way)   Please like this idea if this seems helpful to you. It is common practice to create a master project template which has the basic configuration for starting a new project.   New projects are created from the master template and inevitably changes will be made to the template project. The show insulation button (on/off) currently toggles between outer jacket insulation cylinder and piping OD cylinder, one or the other.  When the insulation is toggled ON, BOTH insulation and piping should be visible.  Please correct this.  Every one of our users hates seeing just the insulation.  Very confusing. The current Project setup P&ID -- Import and Export settings window is non-resizable and could not be moved to a different location on the screen. It would be beneficial to have it resizable and mostly movable. See attached picture:   Show More

Users would like the abilty to tag, annotate and generate structural components on the orthographic bill of materials. Currently there is no way to do this. If are to include the structural components in the ORTHO they should be able to be tagged and added to a BOM. Show More

For Plant Design Suite 2017, instead of Revit “Structure” only, PLEASE bundle the full Revit instead (Arch, Struct, & MEP).  This would be similar to what is included in the Building Design Suite.  Plant projects would greatly benefit from having the Arch and MEP capabilities of Revit included, and not just the Structure.    2016 Plant Suites only include Revit Structure. While auto-routing the program will list several routes to pick from.  If the user has scrolled into view the nozzle closely, there isn't a good way to zoom back out to see which route is picked.  Please make it so users can pan and zoom to see the whole route preview. Show More
