Hi David,

Can not reproduce this issue on my Mac. Was trying with the same file names as in video in referenced post. Have tried with AC 2012 and with AC 2011 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I was running on a Mac Pro 10.6.8 with AutoCAD 2012.  Can you let me know if there is a difference between:

#NAME-OF-FOLDER

#NAME OF FOLDER

Maybe it is a combination of # and spaces.

I just tested AutoCAD 2012 mac with the following to folders on the desktop.

#2011

#2011 A3

When I tried to save a file in #2011, it deleted every file on the desktop!  I had to re-create it the folder #2011 A3 to reproduce the test and it deleted all the contents in #2011 and #2011 A3.

Both these folders had muiltiple .dwg files.  If you and open the file, all files will get deleted regardless of type!  We have a test system so it didn't matter what was deleted.

Hi David,

Have tested again and again with different folder names - can't reproduce though...

I have included a video in the Up and Ready post.  Can you confirm using the video as reference?

Yes, but I can not understand why in my case this does not happen...

OK,

Get this bug on another machine.

When I attempt to save new file from AutoCAD 2012 to folder #2011 in Desktop folder (the result - deleting all contents from Desktop). Also when I try to save .dwg file to that location I get message from AutoCAD:

"Unable to save to drawing /Users/max/Desktop/#2011/Drawing1.dwg. Drawing saved to /Users/max/save6b9c.tmp"

But: if I create #2011 folder, than copy some file to this folder, open it in AutoCAD - I can save this file to this location but all contents of Desktop folder and contents of #2011 folder with exception of opened file gone away.Smiley Sad

I updated the post:

"To reproduce this problem, you need to also access multiple folders, open and save files in those folders and if and if one of those folders has a # sign it it, the other extra files in that folder will get deleted."
