ACADE 2009 Error 1719 On Install

When I try to instal Electrical 2009 from the DVD's I get the following error message: 'Error 1719 the windows installer service could not be accessed'. My OS is Vista Premium X64. My system is more than capable of running this app.

I have tried all of the fixes suggested by Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315346
None of this worked

I have also searched here for previous threads, and found some that relate to older versions of ACADE:
http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5552576
I could not find a string 'KB908002' in a setup.ini file.
I am assuming that this string only relates to another version.

Maybe I am totally off track, and there is a simple solution somewhere

Can anybody help me please?

Hi,

When you are installing ACADE 2009, is the system performing Windows Updates. It looks like Windows Installer Service is used by another process.

At the same time, during installation, there will be a file created in %temp%\Acade2009Install.log and AutoCAD Electrical 2009 Setup.log.

You may zip up the file and attach to this discussion so we can take a look and understand your problem further.

Thanks.
