Render File size using variance for denoising

Hi

I am rendering a 600 frame scene with 7 AOVs. The AOVs of each frame have roughly all together 110 MB per frame. If I add variance to diffuse indirect and spec indirect to denoise the rgb and the 2 AOVs the merged AOV file has more than 250 MB per frame. This is more than double. If I add the denoised files afterwords it will be 3 times the file size multiplied by 600 frames.

Sounds like shorter render times by denoising accepting a massive increase of harddisk space.

Is that normal or anything wrong? Any way to go around this massive increase of hard disk space while remaining the option to use the arnold denoiser?

Kind regards

Hi

For denoising, there's more than just the two variance AOVs, there's others like N, Z, and albedo.

The denoised EXRs won't include all those extra AOVs
