How would I reduce the noise in a scene with a lot of Indirect Light?

So I have a project where my scene is an almost church like building with architecture that causes light to bouce like crazy. The building has light coming in from windows on all sides, so I am using a Skydome and a spot light as my key. Naturally, I am experiencing a horrendous amount of indirect noise. Even jacking my diffuse up to 10 is not enough to make it look good, and it takes way too long.

Any lighters out there have advice for how to reduce the noise efficiently?

Thank you so much Lee, I don't know why I didn't think to use light portals but that allowed me to raise the light samples on my skydome and reduced the amount of noise significantly.
