Hello, These things are necessary to be improved IMO: 1. Once dimensions have been adjusted - block EVERY dimension update during dwg update, and if a dimension needs to be changed-either make it Red or Cloud it, we will move points or delete points as necessary manually. This has to be an option, and it has to be in detail view dialog window. On in MT. User will make decision whatever dimensions to be updated manually or automatically depending on the project. 2. Once labels are moved or deleted-do not update / move them, make them red or cloud them, we will update or move manually if it is necessary, this has to be an option in detail view and let user decide which way to go. 3. Prevent compass mark to move or appear during detail update if it is moved or deleted-an option to be included similar to 1 and 2 lines 4. Prevent detail cut view title form moving during detail update 5. Make depth of view available again in detail dwgs, creation new 2017.1 dialog is terrible 6. Make batch plot to a selected destination folder from DM 7. Make possible revving down or editing revision for all dwgs, not one by one 8. Make option to output SELECTED external lists only, to be printed as PDF files, in separate files, having the name of the list. The possibility to add item numbers in the screw tab isn't working well. It costs way to much time and if the lenght of the screw changes, the item number is wrong. So it's a big source of trouble.   In the AstorBase file, at the site SetBolts und StetNutsBolts already exists a list called ItemNumber, but obviously isn't linked to anywhere. I have already tried a lot of possibilities and the german helpline also, but nobody know's what this list is good for.   A way to depose item numbers and get them automaticlly on bolt lists would be very helpful. Hi,     I would like to have templates saved in a tree structure. To be able to structure queries, groups, templates of connections etc., etc. into catagories, subcategories, subsubcategories etc. The tree structure is one of the simpliest and most beautiful gifts computers gave us....It is hardly used in AS. Also I would like to be able to save templates both with AS (to have them usable for all projects) or with the current project. Hi,   somtimes we have to insert some additional informations in our details. For example text or lines for better understanding of the detail.   These elements are not connected to the detail frame so you can't move the detail and the elements with one click. When importing a drawing style or process, improve the import option to allow merge feature against existing line/field entries. Like if you copy a file and it is the same you have option to keep both, use existing, overwrite existing. Thus remove need to clean up data entries that are left behind by the compact and purge feature. This process does not always clean up entries, end up manually swapping them back, the removing from the various relative tables. Same when copying, inside the DSM, give opition to compare/ replace / copy of etc. Show More

Dear Advance Steel Dev Team,   Very often it happen, for steel structures with pipes, that we have to give to the producer an ACIS file, that have to be "read" by the laser cut machine. This file have to be saved with the position name of the single part and have to include only the single part.   Now I do it in this way: using the "_wblock" command I save the single part with its name as acad block, then I open it and use the Advance command to explode to ACIS each single file.   It could be a very useful tool if we have the option to export as acis file all the selected parts, automatically saving each single part separately with filename identical to the single part position name.     Hope to see this idea in the next releases of Advance Steel, cheers. In the stringer elements, allow for stringer to be made from plate element, in addition to the standard flat section. So stair suppliers, profile from sheet of plate on profiler/laser. This is like the welded tapered beam, it has opitions for both types. Show More

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,   im Bereich Geländermakro sollten folgende Einstellungen möglich sein:   1.Bei Geländern die über den gesamten Treppenlauf gehen muss die Handlaufhöhe an den Podesten unterschiedlich einstellbar sein. 2.Das selbe gilt für die Knieleisten.   Eine farbliche Differenzierung (einstellbar !) von Blechen und Trägern nach Material oder anderen Eigenschaftem ist dringend erforderlich. Besonders bei der so möglichen konstruktiven Materialkontrolle per Farbe können eklatante Konstruktionsfehler vermieden werden! Ein filtern und markieren nach entsprechenden Eigenschaften ist wenig praxistauglich. Einbau der Funktion ggf. in den Projektexplorer (unterhalb der temporären farblichen Kennzeichnung).   A color differentiation (adjustable!) of sheets and supports according to material, role etc. is urgently required. Especially with the possible constructional material control by color, blatant design errors can be avoided! Filtering and marking according to appropriate properties is not very practical. I was wondering if we can pass this information to the software developers and ask them to add this connection type to the library.
