Hello,
Wish you all a very Happy New Year, hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday season. We have been busy on the A360 team and today we pushed out a product update which includes some exciting new features.
1. Calendar - This has been a highly requested feature from customers. It allows a project team to track events and project milestones in a single place. Check it out and let us know what you think
2. Progressive Translation -
This feature allows users to start accessing viewables (Sheets , 2D views etc) in their file as soon as they are ready, instead of waiting for the entire file and all its viewables to be translated. When a user uploads a file to A360 there is a translation step that processes the file and all its viewables (Sheets, 3D Views etc.. ) so that they can be displayed inside the viewer. In the past we would wait until all the viewables are ready before allowing users to view the file. With Progressive Translation we track progress of individual viewables and make it available as soon as it's processed so users can access them even though the rest of the file is still being translated.
Here is a short video of this feature in action on a Revit file - Notice how individual Sheets are accessible as soon as they're done processing
3. Better Error Handling
This enhancement presents better error/warning messages at the Viewable level so that users can continue to explore the designs/viewables that have been translated successfully. In the following example, the 3D view is made available even though the 2D Sheets have failed to translate. On clicking the individual files we display more information on what caused the translation failure.
4. Markup Enhancements
- Ability to select Font Size, Color, Thickness of markup
- Ability to post markup comments with non-english text
5. Enable right click menu on an item in Model browser - Options include Isolate/Hide/Show all/Focus/Clear
Customer Feedback - I would like the ability to isolate/hide a part using the left navigation model browser rather than finding the part in the design viewer so I can quickly focus in on the area that I am interested in.
6. Copy Files from Drive to a Project
7. File Activity feed for Drive
8. Revit Sheets in Sorted order
Other -
A360 Team Trial Message Improvements, Public Share link now points to the new A360 viewer (password protected links and embed links still point to the old A360, this will be updated soon) and numerous other bug fixes and minor UI enhancements
We hope you like the updates.
