Touchsensor Window needs updating

Touchsensor Window needs updating

The Touchsensor window does not fit the general VRED UI and should be updated. It should be Touchsensor Editor.

- Needs search function

- Needs groups

- Needs to remember if items were expanded or not (all sensors currently expand on their own)

The window just needs to be updated with features that other windows like the Material Editor already have.

Because there are no groups and everything expands all the time the window gets very hard to use very quickly if there are a lot of touchsensors.

Hello again.
I was going to post something like this again only to realize that I submitted this idea almost 4 years ago!
The Touch Sensor window is hopelessly outdated - will it be decoupled any time soon?
Touch sensors are very hard to work with as there is no immediate feedback on which geometry nodes are associated with which sensor. I know I can hit "Select Nodes" but it should be more obvious. The vset is listed, why not the geometry? As with other windows the list of touch sensors always expands by itself which is maddening if there are a lot because the list grows very long and it's hard to work with. Why have the ability to collapse (using the little triangle) when it doesn't really work?

The user should be able to add geometry and vsets more intuitively, similar to Light Sets? If the window will be reworked let's include the ability to turn off collision hull creation if it's not needed to streamline VR usability.
Also grouping would be a great addition to get the list more organized. This of course would require the list of touch sensors to not automatically expand.

Thanks.

The touch sensor editor is used a great deal in our studios..  and is notably hard to navigate and manage due to the incomplete interface compared to other editor windows.

Being able to selectively have collision on or off per item would be a great deal of help. The calculation of collision of all touch-sensors and media editors in a file  makes little sense if only a few select items  require collision.

The  camera editor already has this level of detail to set up collision selectively -  touch sensors and media editors should have the same kind treatment.

The expansion all of the items in the touch sensor editor is a long term annoyance  same as than the Curve editor  expanding every item in the editor list. Other editor menus do not behave this way, and there is  absolutely no advantage in having this happen.

Yes touch sensor window needs updating since the beginning, I add also that dragging nodes to the touchsensor window works only the first 5-6 times. Then you have to add every node by name (slow, slow process)
