Verry often we are facing the task of matching a Camera to a given background photograph, often without any further infos of the lens / camera used or the height / angle of the camera. Right now, matching the Vred perspective to these BG images is a very time consuming and tedious task, its a guesswork and often leads to a not totally convincing match. Why not implementing a tool thats been in 3dsmax for a long time: Camera Match! All you need is a reference geometry (this could be a cube in the Bg image or a complete car geometry that matches the photograhed car) You then place a bunch of Locators at specific points on the reference geometry and then assign a matching position on the background image. Hit the button and you get a matching perspective! a great little tool, really, look it up in the Max help : http://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2015/ENU/?guid=GUID-2C52CD7A-8FBF-4135-B677-2B49D21BC868 Please consider porting this tool to Vred ( and/or Maya)
